Data and Analytics Firm Mikan Associates Expands
/In order to accommodate its fast growth and the rising demand for quality Data & Analytics , Mikan Associates ("Mikan"), has secured a long term lease at the CBOT Building, located at 141 West Jackson Boulevard for their new downtown office.
This new Mikan office, situated on the 15th floor of the original art deco CBOT Building, can accommodate up to 30 Mikan team members with adjacent room to accommodate Mikan's planned near term growth. The space will be one of Glenstar Properties brand new speculative suite buildouts that offers a very open concrete loft feel with lots of natural light; essential for Mikan's working environment.
The CBOT Building, an iconic, landmark building, which possesses one of the most superior infrastructure packages of any office buildings downtown Chicago, was recently purchased by Chicago based real estate developer, Glenstar Properties, and USAA Real Estate Company. This facility which was originally built to house futures and commodities related businesses, has recently undergone a $32 million overhaul and subsequently been attracting a variety of new tenants from different industries including public relations firms, marketing companies, technology companies, hedge funds, and creative groups. The new owners many upgrades to the property include a brand new tenant lobby, full service fitness center, state of the art conferencing facility and creative loft type of office spaces. The new office design here offers a sleek, open ceiling, concrete loft like design; exactly what Mikan wanted for their Downtown working environment.
Mikan was represented in the transaction by Chicago based tenant advisory firm, The J. Rich Company, LLC ("JRICH") while Glenstar Properties LLC represented themselves in the transaction.
