Consulting Groups Sales Empowerment Group and Zanon Group Merge and Move to Willis Tower

Sales Empowerment Group LLC, a Chicago-based sales consulting company, leased 12,000 square feet in Willis Tower. The firm is moving from its 1,400-square-foot office at 351 W. Hubbard St. in River North after merging with another Chicago-based sales consulting firm, Zanon Group, which specializes in the technology industry, said Brian O'Neil, president and CEO of Sales Empowerment Group. Mr. O'Neil declined to provide financial terms of the twoyear lease at Willis Tower, 233 S. Wacker Drive. A spokesman for the J. Rich Co. LLC, which brokered the newly formed company's lease, declined to comment. Sales Empowerment Group has 13 employees and plans to add 75 more over the next year, Mr. O'Neil said. The consulting firm will outgrow the newly leased space in about nine months and hopes to expand its offices within the 110-story tower, he added. The lease does not include an expansion clause, he said. A spokesman for Chicago-based U.S. Equities Realty LLC, which manages leasing for the 3.8 million-square-foot Willis Tower, did not return calls. Zanon Group did not have any office space before the merger because its consultants worked from the clients' offices.
